Cleaning your vacuum cleaner – component by component, ready for operation
Do you want to clean your vacuum cleaner? Whether it is the filter, the hose or the fixed pipe or any other part of the device, read our tips for cleaning your vacuum cleaner:
It is very easy to clean the brushes or the fixed tube of the vacuum cleaner. Disconnect them, check that nothing is stuck inside them, remove the fluff from the brush and rinse it under lukewarm, running water without detergent and let it dry.
A similar way is how you can clean the vacuum cleaner filter. If it is washable, you can clean it with water, without detergent. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
The hose of the broom is cleaned in essentially the same way. If you think something may be stuck inside the tube, you can gently push a broomstick or other long object into it and try to remove the wedged object.
To clean a bagless vacuum cleaner, remove the dust container, empty it, rinse it under lukewarm running water, and allow it to dry completely. Under no circumstances should you put it back in the appliance while it is still wet. It must have dried completely. The same goes for cleaning the filter in vacuum cleaners without a bag. Remove it from the vacuum cleaner, follow the instructions in the user manual and clean it only with water. You should also let it dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours.
